Metrocooking DC 2015 - A weekend of food fun!

If you are a food lover of any kind, then the weekend of Oct 24 and 25 is going to be your dream come true. The Metrocooking DC show is back in town, and there’s a TON of stuff to be excited about. At the event last year, I came home with a full belly, a bag full of fun food products, and a weekend well spent.

Metrocooking DC 2015

Over the 2 day event, there will be several programs.

1.       Cooking demos from local chefs Time Ma of Water and Wall, Erik Bruner –Yang of Toki Underground and Maketto, Bryan Voltaggio of Range, Josu Zubikarai of SER, and many more!

2.       Taste Talks  30 minute talks on various topics, ranging from healthy holiday meals, gardening in challenging spaces,  to Caribbean flavors and Herb pairings. There’s something for everyone here, literally.

3.       Celebrity chefs Giada DeLaurentiis and Michael Symon will be around for various events, and also a VIP Meet and Greet. Now is your chance.

4.       Cooking classes from L’Acedemie de Cuisine. Learnt to frost and fill a buttercream cake, sharpen your knife skills, or get back to the basics with a basic sauce making class. Have kids who enjoy being in the kitchen – the kids sushi making will be perfect for them!

5.       Beer, Wine, and Spirits Garden – Enough said, right? As you sip and savor in the garden, learn fun facts about California wine, cocktail tips, and the history of beer and cheese along with pairings.

6.       RAMW Tasting pavilion – Enjoy bites from DC area restaurants and food businesses such as AG Kitchen, Lavagna, Room 11, Olivia Macaron, and Dolci Gelati.

If that’s not enough, there will be over 300 specialty food product vendors in the main exhibit floor. I love to stock up on gifts for friends, upcoming birthday celebrations, or just to sample some fun goods!

But wait, THERE’S MORE.

The BBQ bash will have tastings from DC’s bbq joints, demonstration, and seminars. Grab a napkin and sample delicious meats. Sold.
